Must Watch Movies of All Times - I

Must watch movies of All Times - I
Movies are the best way to entertain oneself, be it when you’re getting bored at home alone, or wanna have fun in your hostel room with friends, when you’re too excited about that first crush and need a romantic comedy to give you company, or when you’re sad after a breakup! I have compiled a list of my favorite movies covering all genres, and guaranteed to give you 2-3 hours of pure entertainment!
I hope you enjoy these movies. I’m sure some of you must have seen some or all of these, but I’ll be thrilled if you can leave a feedback for your favorite movies from this list for the benefit of all readers. Thanks and cheers to a fun cinema experience in your room with a bowl of popcorn or chicken wings!!

If Only – This is by far one of my favorite romantic movies of all times. The story revolves around a live-in couple, who discover through a series of importance of giving each other time cos you never know when it runs out! A must watch for all romantics out there!

P.S. I Love You – Based on a Novel, this movie is about how the love keeps surprising you even from beyond! Truly a wonderful romantic cute movie!

Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge – This is the Favorite romantic movie of all Indians and all SRK lovers!

English Vinglish – The newest one in this list, this is a comeback for Sridevi. The story of how an average Indian hindi speaking woman goes to US and how the she learns English to uphold her respect.

Walk to Remember – Based on a novel by Nicholas Sparks, this is not for the weak hearted. It’s a story of a boy girl who fall in love when they thought they never will!

The Notebook – That kiss in the movie won international fame, what more do I say! Must watch this for some steamy romance and a typical romantic plot.

Serendipity – Love will happen if it’s meant to be, this one’s wonderful till the very end. A must watch for the new couples, together!

Finding Nemo – The best animation movies of all times! The characters are so cute, and the story is simply awesome of how a father searches for his son through the deep dark oceans!

WallEThis one is the Oscar winner class of animation movies! Set far in the future, it gives a very subtle message of what’s gonna happen if we do not start eating and living right!

Adventures of TinTinWe all have read Tin Tin since our school days, and the fun just never stops! With good story and humor thrown about, this would be loved by kids and adults alike!

Harry Potter series (all 7 titles)J.K. Rowling started writing these stories as bedtime tales for her son, and soon became an international favorite with the wonderfully smart, cute, sensitive and adorable character of Harry Potter. The story starts from how Harry is born and survives an attack by Voldemort, and ends with the end of Evil. Watch all 7 titles (8 movies) to see how it all unfolds.

Lord of the RingsThis is by far one of the best movie series based on a Trilogy which is almost as good as the novel if not better! Takes you into the fantasy world, and keeps you entertained through and through.

Taken – A story of how a father searches for his taken daughter in a different country, before she’s sold but he only has 72 hours!

Sherlock Holmes – Crime, mystery, thrill. This one has it all. And Robert Downey Jr, just rocks as Sherlock!

The Raid RedemptionAn Indonesian Movie, this one is a class apart for its sheer thrill of the action sequences and the crisp editing and screenplay. A must watch if you like action movies.

Mean Girls – A girly comedy of love, jealousy, and bitchiness! Watch it with your girlfriends on the next slumber party!

Saw I and IIPure thriller and horror mix, the SAW series is not for the weak of heart. It has weird change of events and gross scenes, which do not scare you like the ghosts in usual horror movies, but shakes your nerves in a worse way!

SevenA psyco is out in the open killing people to show examples of the seven deadly sins. Edge of the seat screenplay.

Carry on Jatta – A typical Punjabi movie and a comedy to its very core. Perfect example of ROFL with awesome story involving a complex mixup of who’s who’s wife, who’s staying in which house, who’s who’s father and oh god!! Watch it if you can understand Punjabi language fairly well, cos honestly the feel just won’t be the same with English subtitles.

Matrix SeriesSet far into the future when teleportation is a norm and AI (Artificial Intelligence) has taken over mankind. That’s when, The One, would come and save the world. It’s a series of 3 and takes your imagination for a wild ride!

TitanicTitanic has won so many Oscars that I doubt if there’s anyone who has not seen this epic movie based on the true story of the grand ship, Titanic that sank on its first journey when it hit an iceberg.

Hangover – Truly a bachelor’s comedy, and so hilarious. I remember watching it in a theatre, and the audience was just clapping and laughing loudly almost every few mins!

Jo Jeeta Wahi Sikander This movie is from the early days of Amir Khan, when he was at his cutest best! The story revolves around the rivalry between the 4 colleges in the area and how a cycle race changes their lives.

LagaanLagaan was sent for the Oscar’s in the Best Foreign Film category. It’s one of Amir’s best ventures. The movie is set in the pre-independence India. A cricket match is set to see if the taxes on the poor farmers can be lifted for the period of draught. A must watch movie, for incredible story, fabulous direction and smart filling of jokes and humor throughout!

Slumdog Millionaire – This is based on a novel Q&A by Vikas Swarup. As the title says, it’s a story of how a slumdog from the poorest corners of India, becomes a millionaire on a KBC kind of show. But not cos he crammed or read about the answers to the questions, but because each question had it’s answer presented to him in the events of his life since his begging days to his call centre days!
